Slumdog millionair, a movie based on the novel written by Vikas Swaroop, already awarded with Academy awards and now in the race of Oscar 2009 has pocketed Oscar best picture award 2009 and several other awards in categories like best music, songs etc. This is first time in history that an Oscar is won by any Indian in music and song categories. The story of the film revolves around a boy from the slum areas of Mumbai who correctly answers all questions asked to win the prize. When only one question left to be answered, time of the show is over and when buy comes out of the show he is taken to police headquarters for questioning as anchor of the show finds it difficult to digest that how a poor boy can answer all questions correctly. Investigations later reveal that all the questions asked were related to incidences he has gone through at one or some other point of time.
